What did the Maya worship?

The Maya worshipped many god such as the rain god and the sun god, there were gods for agriculture and planets, they believed that their "heaven" was below ground, many cave in Mexico have been found with sacraficial bones and human remain. many rare types of ceremonial pottery have been found in cave, and especially sacred were pools of water.
