Assemble all of the rods by inserting ends into sockets. You will have 3 different sized rods: 5 long, 2 medium, and 8 short.
Separate the connectors: 4 corners, 4 angles, and 2 really wide angles.
On the floor- NOT ON THE BED- assemble the frame:
Two long rods and 2 medium rods make up the bottom, with the 4 corner connectors attaching them. Insert 4 of the short rods on to the connectors (makes the corner supports for the tent) Attach the 4 angle connectors to the tops of these. Two more short rods will make the pitch on each side with two long rods running parallel to the base long rods . The wider connectors secure the top of the pitch with the last long rod running between them- it should look like a simple house frame.
Place the fabric tent over the frame and secure the ties to the poles inside the tent. I find it easier to do this if I roll up the Windows and fasten the velco to hold them open.
Carefully lift it onto the bed and pull the elastic loops over the corners on the mattress. They slip off all of the time, but the tent still seems to stay in place pretty well.
We have broken corners that I am trying to replace. If anyone knows where to find new ones, let me know. My son loves this tent and we usually put it up for a couple of weeks each year (especially in the winter).
