How long is the mobile police academy?

This varies by the state and even the police agency. Most training academies are at least 14 weeks long, but they may take as long as nine months. Six months is probably about the median length. Once an officer completes the academy, he must usually complete a field training program of 8-16 weeks, and may be on probation for up to two years.
