How do you play Uno, step by step, starting from the beginning?

To play Uno, start by shuffling the deck of cards and dealing 7 cards to each player. The remaining cards form the draw pile, with the top card flipped over to start the discard pile. Players take turns matching a card from their hand to the top card on the discard pile by number, color, or action. If a player can't play, they must draw a card. The first player to empty their hand wins the round.
