July 31, 2009 Morgan Silver Dollars were not minted until 1878. The silver dollar coin minted by the US Mint in 1875 was the Trade Dollar and they were struck at 3 Mint facilities; Philadelphia, shown as 1875-P , Carson City, shown as 1875-CC and San Francisco, shown as 1875-S. The mint mark can be found on the reverse [tails] side of the coin just above the letter "D" in the Word "DOLLAR". The values for these coins are shown in the chart below.
