Charles 111
Sorry, but that answer is not necessarily correct. Given the fate of King Charles I, who was beheaded, Prince Charles might well follow the precedents of his Great-Uncle and his Grandfather, whose names were David and Albert, respectively. Yet they chose as their regnal names King Edward VIII, and after his abdication, Prince Albert chose to reign as George VI. Many constitutionalists are of the opinion that Charles would not wish to be Charles III (for the reason I have given). One of the first questions he will be asked on the Queen's death is the name by which he wishes to be known as King.
(I can't help wondering, given the stupidity of some of these questions, if they are genuine!!)
