How long does Satan and his evil followers lie helpless in the fires of hell?

The Bible mentions this at Revelation 20:1-3, "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.  He seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while,"

Throwing Satan and his Demons into the abyss, is a symbol of deathlike inactivity. Satan’s condition in the abyss could be likened to being in prison; he will be unable to influence affairs elsewhere.​

While he is in the abyss, God’s Kingdom will begin its 1,000-year reign, which will bring great blessings to mankind. (Revelation 5:​9, 10; 20:​4, 6) An unnumbered “great crowd” will “come out of the great tribulation,” surviving it to see the start of the Millennium on earth.​—Revelation 7:​ 9, 14

Without him Psalm 37:10,11 will come true, "Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
