How do you make sweet and sour sauce?

Add some brown sugar or you could use white - if for some reason you have neither you could even use some honey. Sweeten to your taste. Bitterness or sour taste is caused by the acid in tomatoes. Sugar masks the taste but does not lessen it. A small amount of baking soda will neutralize the acid. Add slowly until taste is adjusted.
