Does God know when someone turns gay bisexual or lesbian or is struggling with trans-gender issues?

If you believe in the existence of God, then you should also believe that he is aware of everything, he is all knowing. If you do not truly believe in God, the question is entirely meaningless. You might also consider the possibility that even though God knows about people's sexual preferences, he doesn't actually care. Don't believe everything your local priest/minister/preacher tells you. The clergy does not necessarily speak for God, even if such a being does exist (which has never been proved). There is prejudice (probably unintended) in the question that lesbians, gays, trans-gendered and others will find hurtful and offensive. The idea of 'turning lesbian or gay" is perhaps held as a possibility by many people, but it does not reflect reality. If it were simply a matter of 'turning' to an orientation freely, then there would be no need, for example, for the Exodus Ministries to exist. Exodus is an umbrella organization under which dozens if not hundreds of "bible-believing, Christian ex-gay ministries" operate. These ministries seek to 'cure' homosexuality, and thousands of members meet regularly at their local ministries and at national conventions to repent, worship and learn. Thousands and thousands suffer, pray, strive and practice what ministry leaders suggest. Yet the same thousands continue to struggle, and even some of Exodus' founding group have gone back to gay life-styles. If it were simply a matter of 'turning', then either Exodus would not exist, or at least there would be no 'repeat' customers. Instead, members still clinging to religion return to have the hurts and humiliations of their lives re-inforced by well-meaning ministry leaders. And considering the hatred and violence that many in this community face, who would freely choose a non-het orientation freely?
