Where can you buy a bixi bicycle?

Saw this on another thread and was curious about owning one of these durable urban cruisers.

-One answer was to join the program, keep the bike and pay the $1,000 lost bike fee. Is it worth a grand?

If you are successful in obtaining a Citi Bike/Bixi Bike you would probably want to own the custom tools required to repair the bike such as removing a wheel to fix a flat etc..

The bikes are assembled with anti theft fasteners to prevent stripping the bike while docked or rendering it's parts useless and incompatible with other bikes. Good luck.
