What do you call a mug with a lid?

The straight-sided pint has been around from the early 20th century at least, but the authentic English "Four-ale bar" pint mug, up to the end of the first world war, was actually a China pot in a funny shade of pink with a white handle. The indented beer mug however, arrived in 1948, driving out the standard fluted glasses in England.
