How do you tell if your tortoise is male or female?

Masculine tortoises usually:

• have (slightly) concave plastron
• have a bigger tail

Russian tortoise males don't have a concave plastron its just like the females and male rt have longer skinnier tails with long claws and females have shorter fatter tails and shorter claws
