How do you deactivate Instagram?

Open your web browser.

1. Go to Instagram's home page.

2. Click the "Your Account" link. This will force you to sign in, or, if you're already signed in, will send you to your settings page.

3. Sign into your account, based on your Instagram credentials.

4. Click the "Log In" button to login to Instagram.

5. Locate the link on the page towards the bottom right edge of the settings area, that states "I'd like to delete my account".

6. Click the link for "I'd like to delete my account".

7. Locate the drop-down box for the reason why you'd like to delete the account. Click the drop-down for the reason.

8. Click the reason you want, to select your reason. Most people select "Other", but if a better reason is already listed, click that link instead.

9. Click into the "To continue, please re- enter your passWord" box. Enter your account passWord.

10. Click the box stating "Permanently delete my account".
