Which jobs use electromagnets?

Probably the most important use is in the electric generator. They are used in metal detectors, and speakers. In generators they are used to generate a constant charge. In metal detectors they are used as a sensor; where the field is changed by metals in the ground. And in speakers they are used in a to and fro motion on a diaphragm to make sound.
