What is the punishment for grand theft over 30000 in Ontario?

I was caught for theft of $32.00 (Shamefull, in it) and then the cops came. First of all, he said he does not give first chance to adults and his collegue was asked to start the paper work and he kept on talking to me. Once the paper work was done, he checked it and pointed out couple of errors to his collegues and in the mean time asked the Store Manager, Store Security and his collegues what would they do in which every one said that they would let me go.

The Officer than told me since his collegue made mistake in paperwork, he will let me go with first warning!!!! Thank god but said even though I will not yet have criminal records, I would be in police internal data base for this offence which will be for internal and future use.
