Did Sir John A MacDonald built the CPR?

Sir John A. Macdonald did not physically build the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), but he was a key political figure in its development. As Canada's first Prime Minister, he strongly advocated for the railway as a means to connect the country from coast to coast and promote national unity. His government played a crucial role in securing funding and negotiating agreements to facilitate the construction of the CPR.
