What is the value of a 1971 silver US half dollar?

It's made of copper-nickel, not silver.

If you got it in change it's only worth 50 cents, like all half dollars with the date 1971 or later. Also, if that coin has never been in circulation, doesn't have any damage, and is in, "Mint" state, then it would be worth $1.50
