Who are the people that make sacrifices for others?

people like firefighters,policemen,and soldiers make sacrifices for others. People who go into war zones can be captured as P.O.W's or prisoners of war. basically,anyone can make a sacrifice since you are giving up something anyway. For example, someone who works in a soup kitchen is giving up their time to feed the hungry.
