What type of rock is the pyramid made up of?

Cheap limestone was used for the pyramid's core, or inside. A more finer, smoother, white limestone was used for the outer wall, and also the inside walls, although a pinkish granite was used more often for the interior walls. Alabaster was commonly used for the floors and so was basalt.
