Using One DVD-RW

First, make sure that you already have DVD-RW (ReWriteable), installed Nero software, and one DVD-R. The other things you have to make sure is show hidden files. It is important when you want to copy a DVD or CD. Because, sometimes there are some hidden files which is important too, such as 'autorun.inf'.

Second, insert DVD you want to copy to the only one DVD-RW. Then, copy all files in the DVD source included hidden files to a folder in your computer. Then eject the DVD source from your DVD-RW.

Next step. Insert the DVD-R as a destination disk. Then open 'Nero StartSmart'. Choose tab 'Rip and Burn'. If DVD source is movie disk, then you have to choose 'Burn Video Disc'. But if DVD source is data disk, then you have to choose 'Burn Data Disc'.

DVD Video / Movie

If DVD source is movie disk, then you have to choose 'Burn Video Disc'. Then, choose DVD-Video files. Then click 'Add' on the right side. Then click next. Expand the Nero window. Fill the disc name. Choose the writing speed and the number of copies. It is important to check the 'Verify data on disc after burning' checkbox.

DVD Data

If DVD source is data disk, then you have to choose 'Burn Data Disc'. Then, choose 'Data DVD'. Then click 'Add' on the right side. Then click next. Expand the Nero window. Fill the disc name. Choose the writing speed and the number of copies. It is important to check the 'Verify data on disc after burning' checkbox. Then click 'Burn'. Wait for a while to complete burning. The time needs for burning depends on the writing speed.

Using TWO DVD-RW

First, make sure that you already have two DVD-RW (ReWriteable) or one DVD-ROM and one DVD-RW, installed Nero software, and one DVD-R

Second, Insert DVD source and DVD-R as a destination disc to both DVD-RW.

Next, Open 'Nero StartSmart'. Choose tab 'Rip and Burn'. Then, choose 'Copy Disc'. Next, choose 'Copy entire DVD'.

Then, choose source drive and destination drive. Choose writing speed and number of copies. Uncheck 'Quick copy' checkbox. It is important because Nero will make an image file first so if the source disk is broken, the destination disk has not been written and can be used again. As I've said before, it is important to check the 'Verify data on disc after burning' checkbox.

The last step is click 'Copy'. Wait for a while to complete copying. The time needs for burning depends on the writing speed.
