How was the Umkhonto you Sizwe wing different from the general ANC?

The ANC had many separate branches that worked to liberate the blacks. The "Umkhonto we Sizwe," spear of the nation, branch worked through plans of sabotage. They sabotaged mailboxes and electrical pylons, causing a ruckus in the cities. So, the "Umknonto we Sizwe" branch was part of the ANC that worked through sabotage, even though the ANC worked for liberation in many different ways.
