What causes a random misfire on a Vw bora 1999 engine code APK Intermittent fault that requires replacement of cylinder 4 spark plug.?

Hi I had the same fault on my Golf 2l apk and after spark plags replacement it solve the problem. as i been told the cause is one spark plug has a leak . Moshe Keren
