Ferguson as the twenty-seventh Governor of Texas, serving between August 25, 1917 and January 18, 1921. Following the end of Hobby's term as Governor, Pat Morris Neff (born November 26, 1871 in Waco, Texas; died Janaury 20, 1952 in Waco, Texas) became the twenty-eighth Governor of Texas, serving between January 18, 1921 and January 20, 1925.
