How much does university cost to become a teacher?

That varies enormously from country to country, university to university, subject to subject. Rank and individual standing are also very important. On the whole the pay is modest, especially in the humanities. On the whole I wouldn't recommend it as a choice of career. In Britain a unviersity teacher doesn't earn much more than a schoolteacher.
