How did Lahoore got its name?

It is said that Lahore, was many centuries ago (when Pakistan and India were one nation), called Lava pur. Lava pur means the place of the king named Lava.

Lava as a king was considered to be extremely great, and everyone under him were happy and the country prospered. It is said Lava was not only a great warrior who could fight any other king, but also a noble person whom everyone in his kingdom respected and loved.

The great city of Lahore, has the beautiful heritage of coming from this background and through those many centuries Lavapur became Lavpur and the Lahoor to finally Lahore now.
