What is a sports division?

a sports division is a group of teams in sports conferences can be put together based on where the team is located another way a division is set up is in college athletics (NCAA) the divisions are private and the college must either be invited to the conference or the team must go to the conference and ask to join and the confrece will make a ruleing.
