Windows Vista Users:
1) Right click on an open area on your desktop and click on 'Personailze'
2) Click on 'Screen Saver', a small window will appear
3) Click on 'Change power settings'
You can configure your computers power settings from this window.

assuming that you are on a laptop you can right click over the batterty icon and dependet on what make your laptop is there will be a powermanagment option you can configure the setting through that they range from power saver, balanced and high performance. this is base don using an Acer laptop although im fairnly certain the same option exist for most mainstream laptop and Personal Computr companies.
