Why did thistleclaw go to the dark forest?

I'm not sure i don't think she loves him anymore after what he did... that's only my option

Thistleclaw never really did anything too bad. I mean he roughed scourge up a bit and didn't like Bluestar but I never understood why he's in the dark forest. He was a good cat even if battling was his answer to everything. I think she does still just is to proud to admit it. She loved him so much when she was alive. He was so heart broken after she died that he made all the wrong choices. Anyway yes I think she still loves him.
