How do you cancel a cashier's check?

If you still have the check, you return to the bank with it and they will return the funds. If you have given it or lost it...the process is much more difficult...and requires wait periods and probably buying a bond to assure it isn't presented for payment. Once given to somene, it is virtually uncancellable and the funds not withdrawable...which is the entire point of it.
