Bears get pretty fat in the fall before they have to go into hibernation. Cows have to stay at a moderate condition score where they are not too fat nor too thin. If a cow is much too fat (i.e., obese) then she cannot produce milk nor properly deliver a calf. So, a bear is fatter, not a cow.
