The Siberian or Amur tiger is the largest non-hybrid cat in the world. The biggest one ever recorded in the wild reached 845 pounds (about 384 kg), while the average weight for male Siberian tigers is 300-600 pounds (136-272 kg). The largest males are usually about 3.5 feet (107 cm) tall at the shoulders and about 11 feet (335 cm) long from nose to tail. The biggest recorded captive Siberian tiger, named "Jaipur", weighed 1025 pounds (465 kg).
