• take direction from a higher up
• tolerate criticism from higher ups and subordinates
• admit your mistakes; even Supers make them
• organize tasks
• stay on task
• keep others on task
• communicate well
  
• promote good communication
• explain yourself, give clear rationales
• control emotions
• be non-judgmental
• separate the need for "friends" from job relationships
• give clear feedback
• supportive without being coddling
• show fairness, not favoritism
• be willing to jump in and work alongside your team
