How do you motivate employees to avoid absenteeism and insubordination?

A good way to curb absenteeism is to make class as interesting as possible for the students. Other options include giving extra credit assignments to students that are in class which shows the absent students the benefits of going to class. If you don't want to give out extra credit give pop quizzes that absent students are not allowed to make up. Of course, if you are going to give those pop quizzes, be sure to allow the students one or two grace periods because sometimes there are legitimate reasons as to why a student might be absent.
