Where was the first fire station?

The first fire station is believed to have been established in ancient Rome around 24 B.C. by Emperor Augustus. He created a group called the "Vigiles," responsible for fire prevention and firefighting. The first organized fire brigade in a more modern sense was founded in 1666 in London after the Great Fire, which highlighted the need for structured fire response.
