I just installed one in my 2006 Chevy truck. I kinda flew by the seat of my pants but found it to be pretty simple considering that they strongly recommend professional installation. I pulled the molded dash piece off then unbolted the stereo. I didn't have much slack to pull out but got the wires undone. Save yourself some time and go the website they give in the instructions and find the setting they show for the "box" (tiny switches on the side). After you get that setting you're pretty much ready to install. I had to attach to a 12v constant which I found to be the 'big" orange wire coming off the back off the stereo. I grounded to what I assumed was a ground post on the back of the stereo. It had a plastic screw cap. Then, with some difficulty, "shoved" the box and wires behind the stereo (not alot of room)(make sure you attach the wire that connects the iPod to the "box" and run it wherever you want to). I put everything back together, hooked up the iPod and it worked!... One important note... unless you want to unhook the battery, keep in mind that while attaching to the "big" orange wire it is HOT. I blew a fuse when I forgot on the first try. I had an old sat. radio bracket that I am using to "mount" my iPod. I just used small pieces of velcro to attach. You really need to be able to access the iPod when listening if you want to switch playlists or anything like that. It only seeks tracks once inside of a playlist. I'm kinda disappointed in the volume I'm getting out of the iPod to the stereo. I'm going to try and jack up the volume setting for each song and see if that works as the iPod volume control has no bearing on the output

Addition - There is a volume adjustment knob on the "box" which you need to adjust to match the volume of the radio reception.
