1.)The Death of the Album.
bands no longer develop albums as one well thought out compilation. mostly because albums are not sold in the same multitude the used to be. with the ability to pay for one song vs the whole album, bands spend more time making single hits that will be downloaded like crazy off of iTunes.
2.) DVR loophole for Age appropriate scheduling.
Channels like Cartoon Network have taken advantage of late night television scheduling to air mature themed material. Now with DVR's being a practical standard in most homes. Youth now have a conduit available to view this material, commercial free I might add. (parents setting up further control on their TV's is however a good way to prevent this from happening)
3.) PC gaming is near obsolete
Even though advances in Graphics accelerated video cards have made PC gaming quite affordable, game developers have found that it is more profitable to focus on making titles for consoles because of how easy it is to pirate the material for the PC vs the level of difficulty involved and consequences that result from being able to play pirated games for the console.
4.) ID theft, Virus' and Mal-ware on the rise.
these faceless crimes have grown to unimagined heights over the last decade or two. Having a computer in every home has sparked some foul idea's of how to make a dishonest buck feeding off the inexperienced.
5.) GPS systems everywhere.
no matter how many times i tell my EX to get lost... with a GPS system in everything from watches to cell phones and cars... somehow she always finds her way back.
