The white owl was probably a Barn Owl or Snowy Owl, and it may not have survived even though it flew away. Many birds that have been hit by cars, or smash into Windows, suffer dramatic head trauma - brain swelling, loss of vision, and probably a terrible headache. These birds may fly away from the scene of the accident, only to settle in a quieter location until they can function again or until they fall victim to predators, hunger, or their injuries.
