Are whale sharks dangerous

Generally speaking, no. They are sluggish, docile fish of tropical waters. They do not even have teeth, to speak of. But they are "wild animals", and are best left alone. Divers pass directly in front of, under and around them regularly, and the whale sharks ignore them.
