Ford had four engines in the 5000, the 233 cubic inch displacement (cid) gas and diesel and the 265 cid gas and diesel engines. They also had two transmissions, an 8-speed manual and the Select-O-Speed, kind of an automatic transmission. I have a 1972 265 cid gas with the 8 speed transmission.
