Who is better Empoleon or Infernape?

Empoleon is waaaaay better. It is so strong after some freindship and training. It's not that Water-types have more advantages or anything related to that. It's just that I have an Empoleon on pokemon: Diamond and Pokemon: Platinum, and they both rock!!!!
