Shifting gears on a motorcycle

To change gears you use your foot to operate the lever in front of the left footpeg. If you give it a few strong taps down till it will go no further that is first gear. Half a click up from there is nuetral. Click up hard again for 2nd gear, same action again for 3rd and so on. You should pull the clutch in when doing this although most bike gearboxes will still work even if you do not use the clutch.
