Is there an artist J Blacio dated 1946?

I have a small painting - oil on wood, and dated 1938 and signed J Blacio (though I thought it could have also been 'Blagio'). I have been curious about the painting ever since I got it in a local thrift store several years ago. Let me know if you find out anything else.
