The following is for a k10/k11 micra NOT the current model. I will state what you do different for the current model later. Get hold of 2/3 litres of Nissan approved coolant, its not too expensive even from a main dealer, also you will need 2/3 litres of de-ionised water (Recently boiled water will do) Make sure the car has not been run within the last few hours, ensuring the coolant is nice and cool, to prevent burning yourself and then carry out the following. 1. Open bonnet 2. Remove radiator cap 3. Remove/loosen bottom hose clip from radiator 4. Get a bucket ad place in under where the bottom pipe goes onto radiator. 5. Remove coolant pipe (watch out for splatters etc) 6. Once all coolant is drained refit the hose and clip. 7. Mix the coolant with de-ionised water 1:! 8. Add the coolant into the radiator. Fill to the top. 9. Set the heaters to full heat, and full power (4) 10. Start the vehicle and leave to idle. 11. As the vehicle is idling you will notice the fluid level gradually going down, and air bubbles coming out, this is now bleeding the system. There is no bleed screw on the k10/k11 micra. 12. Once the bubbling has stopped, put the cap back on and close the bonnet. Take the vehicle for a text drive, around 2/3 miles. 13. Leave the vehicle for a few hours for the coolant to both cool and settle. 14. Recheck the Cooland level and top up accordingly. With the current model micra instead of putting the coolant into the top of the radiator, it goes into the expansion tank. Do not overfill beyod the max line. But the process is the same.
