What is the plot of the night face up?

The story is an example of magic realism. Basically the man who is running from the war party in the jungle is real life while the motorcycle is dream. The story makes it seem the other way around but the author shows some hints such as the fact that he can't reach the water in the hospital because he can't drink in real life.
