What style did John Sloan use?

Sloan worked with "The 8" lead by Robert Henri. They all had their own styles but I would say Sloan is an Impressionist with satirical undertones. You could also say he was a Genre Painter or a twentieth-century realist painter. I guess you could also put this all under Modernism.
