No tree frogs need trees and leaves to use their camouflage to hide from predators, if they lived in a swamp they would drown in mud or be eaten since their camouflage doesn't work in grey and black because they are green and red.

They are better off wild then in homes leave them some where that no people(s) wild find it but remember it has to be by water ( a stream or river possibly a lake NO SALT WATER) with leaves and trees.
