Is bougainvillea rich in water present?

I can't tell the percentage in water, but if you want a really nice bougainvillea, is better to add as little water as possible, because this is a very resistant plant to hot weather, and if you try to clean the blossom with water you will damage them. this plant requires practically very little water .
