How do you get a Clefairy doll in Pokemon Silver?

After you talk to the copy cat, go to the Pokemon fan club in vermilion city. There's a guy who stands near the Clefairy doll on the table. Talk to him and he will give you the doll. Then go to the copycat's house and talk to her...then tah-dah, you get a pass!
