Why does gasoline conduct electricity?

In my knowledge, any liquid will conduct electricity. It was one of my first childhood lessons. Haha

Fuel (gasoline) is made of hydrocarbons such as isooctane. Hydrocarbons itself has no free electrons, nor charges, so it is not conductive.
