Is there one gallon in a twelve pack of beer?

Standard sized cans in the United Sates contain 12 ounces. A 12-pack, therefore, contains 12 x 12 = 144 fluid ounces of brew. Since an American gallon contains 128 fluid ounces, a 12-pack is bit more than one gallon. How much more? Divide 144 by 128, which yields 1.125 gallons. That's a gallon and one pint.
